Brand/Product History: Chivas 25 was the world’s first luxury whisky, reaching American shores in 1909 as the first whisky to be aged for at least 25 years. After taking New York by storm, World War 1 and the prohibition meant that Chivas 25 disappeared and became a highly coveted collector’s item. It wasn’t until 1950 that Chivas returned as a 12-year-old whisky. In 2007, Chivas' fifth Master Blender Colin Scott, inspired by the original recipe, re-created Chivas Regal 25 to celebrate where the story began.

Product Info: The first blended grain whisky in the Royal Salute portfolio, the Snow Polo Edition evokes the spirit of the spectacular sport from which it takes its name. It is carefully crafted to a higher than usual ABV of 46.5% to match the exact latitude of St Moritz, the Swiss resort where snow polo was first played against the backdrop of pristine, white mountain peaks. The nose offers vanilla and caramel, smooth and sweet, with malted barley and oak adding depth. The palate is rich, with elegantly layered flavours of vanilla and toffee, and a long, satisfying finish. Best enjoyed over fresh ice, naturally.

Nose: Bursting with sweet flavours of creamy toffee, soft peaches and juicy raspberries intermingled with creamy vanilla ice cream all reminiscent of an indulgent peach melba. Taste: The palate is sweet and smooth, echoing the nose. Layered flavours of clear blossom honey, orange marmalade, and a touch of toasted hazelnuts.
